Porto Bay Rio Internacional Hotel, Rio de Janeiro
Looking to do something a little different for your honeymoon? South America has plenty of sizzling attractions to offer newlyweds, from the beaches of Rio to the steakhouses of Argentina. Romantic hotels are aplenty here, and choosing that one perfect hideaway can be just as difficult as the walk down the aisle. To help you out during your honeymoon planning, we’ve found our favorite hotels ready for romance — and we’ve taken into consideration both the splurgers and the savers. Our first pick in each destination offers over-the-top luxury (and prices), while our second choice offers a cozy South American getaway without too many dollar signs attached.
The Relais & Chateaux Santa Teresa is a historic mansion turned luxurious boutique in Buenos Aires.

Legado Mitico is a charming, 11-room boutique in bustling Buenos AIres.
Finding a quiet boutique in a big city might seem like a challenge, but in reality, some of our most intimate stays are tucked into the corners of the world’s largest metropolises. Offering personalized service and charming details, these petite hotels – most have less than 20 rooms – are some of our favorites. So if mega-metropolises such as Buenos Aires, Hong Kong, and Los Angeles might intimidate you, fear not. You can always retreat to these intimate boutiques for some quiet time amidst the bustle of the big city.
One Bal Harbour Resort bathrooms have some of the best views in the Miami.
Some people prefer to read a magazine in the restroom, but we’d much rather gaze out over a stunning view. There’s nothing we love more than exotic sights, no matter where we’re taking in the view — the shower, tub, or elsewhere. From Hong Kong to Miami, Boston to Barcelona, here are our favorite hotel views from the best seat in the house.

Sixteen days, over five million people, and — most importantly – seven million liters of beer: That’s Oktoberfest in Munich. What began as a wedding celebration in 1810 [Ed. note: Sounds like a fun wedding!] has grown into the world’s largest fair, attracting locals and tourists to the Bavarian city every September and October to down tasty traditional treats followed by long swigs of brew. Sound amazing? Yea, it’s pretty hard to beat. But nonetheless, it has inspired copycats all over the world, and they’re doing a pretty darn good job at keeping up. From Santiago to Hong Kong, Bavarian aficionados have hosted their own Oktoberfests for years: Some are traditional, some not so much, but they all harken back to their Munich origins in one way or another. So if you can’t make it to Germany this year, don’t fret. We have the scoop on the most wunderbar Oktoberfests across the globe — and the best hotels for sleeping off those delicious Bavarian brews. With views like this from the rooms, who needs to leave the hotel? We were lucky enough to visit one of the Cosmopolitan Suites at Noi Vitacura in Santiago, where we got to cozy up in this outdoor Jacuzzi overlooking the Andes Mountains. We loved the view so much, we headed to the hotel’s rooftop pool for another relaxing dip looking out at the mountains.
