For some travelers, itsy bitsy bikinis or revealing Speedos just don’t cut it — a vacation isn’t a vacation without a little nudity. Luckily for them, these hotels are redefining casual dress with policies that let guests bare it all (or almost all).
Not everyone’s nude-y travel preferences are alike, and a wide range of resorts let guests button down — from an uninhibited, swingers-friendly paradise, to a polished luxury resort with a surprising naughty side.
So take a peek — a little voyeurism never hurt anyone.
Depending on where you travel, you might find some interesting hotel crashers. In the case of the Frenchman’s Reef & Morning Star Marriott Beach Resort on St. Thomas, they’re of the reptilian variety. Luckily, these guys are harmless (unless you happen to be a strawberry), and kids tend to love seeing them. Check out our caption after the jump, then add your own in the comments section below!

The Academy Awards were held in the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles.
This past Sunday night, we got to see a lot of thrilled winners climb the steps to the stage and accept little golden statues. But we saw even more stars
fake smile and clap as they watched the other guy beat them out and take home the trophy. “It’s an honor just to be nominated” doesn’t quite soften the blow (it’s more like adding salt to the wound). But something that will lessen the heartache? A getaway. The losers from Sunday night should pack their bags, cut their losses, and get some R&R in a place far away from Hollywood. It’ll give them time to recoup — and it may be just what they need to be able to act their hearts out in their next film (the one they’ll be nominated and win for). We found the perfect spot for each Oscar-nominated star to put their feet up and relax. Check ‘em out after the jump >>

As tradition goes (although the times, they are a-changin’), the man is the one who gets down on one knee and pops the question — but there is “one” loophole. Supposedly, since the fifth century, it has been acceptable for a woman to ask for her significant other’s hand in marriage on one day that comes only every four years: leap day. (You can thank the Irish for this tradition.) And you’re lucky ladies, because 2012 brings with it the birth of hip-hop royality, the possible end of the world, and – most importantly of course — leap day, February 29th. So if you want to snag your man for keeps, the time to do it is tomorrow. Whisk your better half away on a last-minute romantic getaway and propose at one of our favorite romantic spots.
The Harvest Dance Suite at the Spring Creek Ranch; Jackson Hole, WY
Set in a wildlife refuge more than 700 feet above the Jackson Valley, the Spring Creek Ranch has arguably the most stunning views of the Tetons in the area. It has a wide array of room categories, from standard hotel rooms to immense two-bedroom condos, and he delicious, popular restaurant and the excellent heated outdoor pool are not to be missed.
Best Spots for Proposing:
If your soon-to-be-fiance is the active type, hop on a horse (how romantic?) and take him to a secluded spot on one of the property’s many trails. Beside the lake or in the teepee are also romantic spots for popping the question.
Rather than dish out our travel news in standard form, we’re going to be doing it in true Oyster fashion: by presenting the latest hotel happenings in a unique, fun and ‘lil bit freaky way. Every week we’ll make a synopsis of goings on in our hotel collection, with crazy facts and fun stories that you’ll have to try to guess if they’re facts or true Oyster fakeouts. Take your chances, answer the questions, and check out the results — you may be surprised to find out what you learn!
The Presidential Suite at The St. Regis New York; New York, NY
1. FACT OR FAKEOUT: The St. Regis New York’s Presidential Suite can hold 68 of The Jane Hotel’s smallest rooms.
2. FACT OR FAKEOUT: The most expensive item on the Bryant Park Hotel’s sex toy menu tops the NYC spot’s nightly room rates.
3. FACT OR FAKEOUT: The Inn at Palmetto Bluff (in Carolina’s Lowcountry) offers Alligator Tracking as part of its Adventure Program.

This week’s moment of Zen comes courtesy of the Cheeca Lodge and Spa in the Florida Keys. Don’t you just wanna sit on the edge of the deck and dip your toes in the ocean? Go ahead! Now take a deep breath, sit back, relax and soak in your Monday Morning goodness.

View from the Auberge Du Soleil; Napa Valley, CA
We just got back from beautiful Napa and Sonoma in California Wine Country, where hundreds of wineries dot the rolling hills and temperatures rarely dip below the 60s. The most popular visitor activities are drinking and eating — and for good reason. Thomas Keller’s French Laundry in Yountville is a destination unto itself and Healdsburg is home to Cyrus restaurant, with two Michelin stars. Check out some of the hotel highlights from our trip after the jump>>

Consider yourself an adrenaline junkie? Feel the need for speed? Well, you’re definitely not alone — and lots of folks seek their thrills out when traveling or on vacation (because flying on a trapeze is way cooler when you’re 3,000 miles away from home ). Before you sign your life away on one of these amazing adventures, check out all of our favorite places to get high, the natural way, of course.
Trapeze at Viva Dominicus Palace Resort; Dominican Republic
- WHERE TO DO IT: The Viva Wyndham Dominicus Palace Resort; Dominican Republic
- WHY IT’S KILLER: Soar through the air (albeit while tethered to security wires) for free at this Dominican party spot. Actual circus performers teach guests how to hang upside-down by their knees while swinging 25 feet the air. While you won’t be in the next Ringling Brothers show, we can guarantee that you’ll get a rush from the lesson. Wind down on one of the hotel’s pristine beaches, some of the best on all of the island.

When it comes to natural beauty, the entire African continent is worlds apart from anywhere else on Earth. That’s why we had such a hard time putting down our cameras when we visited Botswana: the super remote & Beyond Xaranna Okavango Delta Camp provided some of the best scenery we’ve ever seen from start to finish (reaching the resort is an adventure in itself). Sure, beaches can be gorgeous, but watching the sunset over the African wilderness is an entirely different kind of breathtaking.
