No doubt, there are horror stories about New York hotels with dark, dingy rooms, cockroaches in the bathrooms, and stains on the sheets. But in general, the great majority of hotels in New York are very clean. Still, it takes a lot for us to qualify a hotel as super clean. After staying at about 200 hotels throughout New York City, we’ve awarded the few immaculate properties that will put even the most extreme germaphobe at ease.
Crosby Street Hotel
The Crosby Street Hotel opened in October 2009 on a quiet, cobblestoned street in SoHo. There’s not a thread out of place in the luxurious, whimsically decorated rooms and public spaces.

For most, a truly fantastic bathroom — think lots of marble, a decadent Jacuzzi tub, and space to spare — is a prerequisite when splurging on a luxury hotel. Especially for couples: We know how many of you flip through our bathroom photos looking for Jacuzzi tubs that fit two. Which is why we’ve created slideshows of the best hotel bathrooms in New York, the best hotel bathrooms in San Francisco, the best hotel bathrooms in Miami, and more. But for those of you who the bathroom is really, really important — for some honeymooners, it can be the deciding factor when booking a trip — we decided to make it even easier for you, and pull together a photo tour of our all-time favorite bathrooms on the site. Enjoy. Read More »

This 127-room boutique in Downtown Atlanta is located in a historic building that was once ravaged by the deadly Winecoff fire — but inside, it’s thoroughly stylish and contemporary. Its cute lobby has fresh flowers and a cool light fixture, its restaurant serves delicious farm-to-table cuisine, and rooms are sophisticated, with modern technology. Perks like free Wi-Fi and a free wine tasting every evening add value, and female travelers may appreciate the women’s-only floor, which includes added security and a separate entrance.

Sunset Key Guest Cottages, a Westin Resort
This 40-room resort caters to the upscale traveler with luxurious, beach-chic cottages and high-end amenities. It is located on Sunset Key, a residential island off Key West, and is affiliated to the Westin Key West, with which it shares some features, like a fitness center and restaurants. The hotel itself has wonderful amenities, including a lovely pool, a gorgeous beach with palm trees and clear waters, and a pleasant spa. Its location, though idyllic and exclusive, might be somewhat inconvenient for travelers who want to be close to shops and restaurants (the hotel only has one eatery on-site).

We’ve got some amazing features we can’t wait to introduce to you. Check them out below!
Now when you are viewing our beautiful high resolution images of hotel rooms and destinations, you can view them in a full screen slideshow. It’s breathtaking if we do say so ourselves. Every album on our site now has a “slideshow” or a “full screen” option so you can get the full effect of looking at the destination through Oyster’s eyes.
Sometimes you want a family vacation. Sometimes you want a romantic getaway. Oyster now gives you the option to choose how many people you’re traveling with, so your reservation and room types turn out to be what you expected. This way, you will avoid arriving at your hotel with the wrong information.
Get ready to be blown away. We use high-tech camera equipment to give you the entire 360-degree panoramic view of what we’re looking at. Really, it’s something to check out.

It’s football season and the MLB playoffs are around the corner. These hotels accommodate the loudest, rowdiest, most competitive fanatics out there. Give us an outrageously over-sized flat-screen TV and dem’s fightin’ words, and we’ve got just the right atmosphere.
Ouest, The Lucerne, New York
This isn’t your typical sports bar – it’s a high-end French restaurant with a cozy, Old-School New York twist. Although the menu is a bit pricey, the food (by Tom Valenti) will not disappoint – roasted salmon, braised beef short ribs, and juicy pork chops. The interior is covered in red leather, dark wooden accents, and white linen table cloths. With an outstanding bartender and fabulous drink menu, this place gets packed regularly, and (perhaps most importantly) a large flatscreen TV perches directly above the bar – making Ouest a great alternative from the typical sweaty, messy sports bar.
