At Shore Bird Restaurant & Beach Bar, diners can grill their own entees.
If you’re looking for a unique dining experience in Hawaii, make reservations for dinner at the Shore Bird Restaurant and Beach Bar. The open air, oceanfront restaurant located in the Outrigger Reef on the Beach Waikiki affords a gorgeous sunset view from Waikiki Beach, making this a great spot for a romantic interlude. But it’s not your usual restaurant meal.
Once you’ve placed your order, your server will bring your fresh meat or seafood entrée to the table – for you to cook. You’ll be instructed on suggested cooking time for your entrée and sent off to the community grill. The grilling area features a professional grill and is equipped with various cooking sauces, spices, and barbecue utensils as well as a large clock with which to keep track of cooking time. It’s a fun and festive atmosphere as diners mingle over the grill awaiting their entrées. Mai tai optional.

The Deluxe Room at Cassa Hotel & Residences is 325 square feet and has a queen bed.
Without as much fanfare as several other NYC hotels that opened in 2010, Cassa Hotel & Residences discreetly opened in busy midtown Manhattan last summer, changing the neighborhood’s hotel landscape — as have other recent hotel openings including The Setai Fifth Avenue, The Chatwal, and Andaz Fifth Avenue).
Although the hotel has not yet opened its restaurant, courtyard, or 10th floor lounge, we went to the hotel to take a sneak peek at the hotel’s guest rooms and lobby.
The hotel has 165 functional and quiet rooms, all with a decent amount of sunlight (you don’t have to worry about looking out at a brick wall). The rooms range in size from 252 to 475 square feet, though they all look the same except for the size. The all-white bathrooms were a nice addition: They’re not large and don’t have tubs, but they have modern fixtures and a sleek, simple design. Another special touch we really liked? An Apple iPad sat on the lobby’s front desk so that guests could glance at the weather, and on this particularly snowy day, check their flight information, too.

Disney World isn't just for the kids. The most magical place on earth can be a romantic destination for couples as well.
Valentines Day is coming. A day when Disney World turns red. Rose petals are strewn on all the walks. The moat in front of the castle is filled with red water. Every fair maiden that enters the parks is given a beautiful red rose. Dean Martin is singing “That’s Amore” or John Paul Young is singing “Love is in the Air” or the Partridge Family is singing “I Think I Love You“. It’s love American style.
Oh, if it were only so. Valentines Day is pretty much the same as any other day at Disney World. Which brings up the question: Where can you find romance at Disney World? Read More »
