Hotel Humor

Friendly hotel service is key to having a good stay, but sometimes the staff is just phoning it in. Though the workers at the front desk of the Villa Del Palmar Beach Resort & Spa are not necessarily writing off your constant room service requests, its hard to tell whether or not they’re just mugging for the cameras.

A little too proud? Who cares! Strut your stuff at the MGM Grand.

We’re taught that we should stay away from vices — but they can be so fun, right?! Get down with your bad self at one of the best hotels for indulging the seven deadly sins. Of course, they’re all in the three wildest, biggest party cities in the states — Miami, Las Vegas, and New York City. And they’re all fabulously luxurious spots, too  — after all, it’s gonna cost you to be bad in more ways than one. We dare you to check ‘em out — just don’t look back!

Awkward Hotel Services

by Hilary on April 11, 2012

Ever call the front desk for extra towels and a personal BFF shows up? AskMen shows us an Awkward Hotel Services video where you may be surprised at who shows up at your door when you’re expecting those extra towels. Trust us, it’s sufficiently… awkward. And funny.

We’ve be dreaming about our time in Botswana ever since we left the safari paradise — not only was wildlife spotting an awesome experience, but the &Beyond Nxabega Okavango Tented Camp proved to have some seriously luxe digs to offer, too. Glamping (a.k.a. a luxury experience in an outdoorsy, camp-inspired setting) has become a seriously popular travel pastime, so we visited Botswana for the ultimate in the experience. Located in the remote Okavango Delta, the “resort” offers spacious tents with plush beds, food that’s rather divine, and all the wildlife you could possibly dream of seeing in a safari setting. But this photo tickled us quite a bit. Had us bellyachin’, if you will. Check out what we had to say after the jump, then enter your own caption in the comments section below!

Ever get the urge to glance up at someone when you think they’re staring…and you’re usually right? Well, if you post up at the Mondrian South Beach in Miami, you’ll be stared at for the duration of your stay — by a creepy little girl, no less. Check out our caption for the Bay View Suite after the jump, then fill in your own in the comments section below!

Ahhh, the WWE — a true testament to the uniqueness of “sports entertainment,” with its Superstars, Divas, and complete and utter cheesiness. But for some reason, millions of fans tune into the organization’s biggest event of the year on Pay-Per-View (and spend the fifty bucks, too): Wrestlemania. This year’s event, being held at Miami’s Sun Life Stadium, should not disappoint fans, as all of the major faces are expected, along with Hall-of-Fame inductee Mike Tyson as well as Shaq, on Sunday, April 1. Regardless of who you’re rooting for, we’ve found the perfect hotel for you. Find your favorite wrestler matched to his ideal hotel.

Perhaps we’re taking a little bit of liberty when we caption this photo, taken at the Venetian Resort Hotel Casino‘s Oxygen Bar in Las Vegas. However, we can’t help but think that the bar is a bit reminiscent of heavier substances. Check out our caption after the jump, then add your own in the comments section below!

Best Western Tomo San Francisco CA

This San Fran hotel is part of a budget chain -- but has high style.

Although we have covered hundreds of hotels and seen many, many guest rooms, there have been a few that have really, well, stood out to us. One would even call them “zany.” Really. We’ve seen stone hand sculptures, faces on chairs, and even private infinity pools waiting for us to dip our toes in. But these eight suites were something else — they take “quirky” to a whole new level. Check ‘em out now — you may find your next design inspiration inside the gallery!

True, we’re taking this photo of the Grand Palladium Punta Cana Resort & Spa out of context. But this group exercise makes captioning way too easy.

We understand the precautions pregnant women must take, but we still think the Punta Cana Hotel may have watched the Aliens trilogy one too many times.
