When we’re in Los Cabos, we can’t help but get a little giddy. With its beautiful beaches, tequila-soaked nightlife, and plentiful historic sights, there is always something to smile about. We get especially excited when we’re staying at the four-pearl The Westin Resort and Spa, where stunning views of the ocean and mountains are perfectly framed by the hot-pink walls of the open-air lobby. We can feel that ocean breeze already!

The only thing better than Italian food is Italy itself. And the views from Terrazza Brunelleschi Restaurant at the Grand Hotel Baglioni in Florence are just as savory as its menu options. Between the fine dining and striking views of Florence, this upscale hotel restaurant is just another one of the city’s many works of art.

Maybe it’s all of the election buzz that’s making us think of our nation’s capital. Maybe its the cherry blossoms we wish we could have seen. Regardless, we can’t stop thinking about Washington D.C. The Francis Scott Key Bridge stretches across the idyllic Potomac River — and has since 1923, making it the oldest-standing bridge in the city’s history. Yet another reason we want to head down to D.C., well, ASAP.

With the spring season in full blast, we spend our days inside…dreaming about the great outdoors. And what better way to experience a beautiful destination, like the San Juan Islands, than on your very own private sailboat? Yeah, we didn’t think you’d have a better answer. Even we — the ones who get seasick — agreed.

We just booked our next vacation — and although we’re bona fide adults, we’re super-stoked to be heading to Disney World for their annual Marathon Weekend in January 2013. But in order to get motivated, we figured browsing the attractions we’d see while running couldn’t hurt. And what’s more exciting than Cinderella’s Castle at the Magic Kingdom? Um, nothing! [Ed. note: In fact, I'll be running through the castle come January 13.] Oh, and in case you’re wondering, we booked the Waldorf Astoria Orlando for our stay.
Cinderella's Castle attracts millions of visitors every year, and I get to run through it!

With today being Good Friday — and Sunday being Easter and all, we are already salivating for a traditional Easter Brunch. We even told you about our ten favorite hotels to check out for the meal. But something about these eggs at Asana, the Mandarin Oriental Boston‘s 3-meal-serving restaurant, makes us literally starving. The sleek presentation is totally in line with the hotel chain’s Zen-inspired design, and everything looks cooked perfectly. Now if only Sunday would come sooner…

This week’s Foto Friday couldn’t help but be inspired by the announcement of Anchorman 2, a film sequel we’ve been waiting about a decade for now. Set in San Diego, the original Anchorman follows a local news team through their triumphs and their plights — with a ton of laughs along the way. But our favorite line in the first flick had to have been when star Will Ferrell, playing Ron Burgundy, likens his city to a whale’s, errrr, lady parts, then reminds us to soak up the city’s scenery. Or as he says, “Drink it in.” Thanks Will, we’ll do just that.

Sometimes it feels like moments of calm are impossible to come by at large resorts. This shot of the Radisson Grand Lucayan in the Bahamas shows that that’s not always the case.

This week saw the early arrival of spring weather in New York City. Naturally, after a long (although not very cold) winter this past year, it’s the perfect excuse to spend as much time outdoors as possible. Places like the rooftop at the Empire Hotel are a swanky way to do just that.

California wine country has come a long way in a short time. Ever since the famous Judgement of Paris turned the wine world on its head in 1976, the wine making industry in Napa and Sonoma has blossomed. But it’s not just the impressive wines that come out of the region that make it special: the natural beauty, incredible culinary scene, and laid back attitude make it a truly awesome corner of America. Hotels, like the Meritage Resort and Spa pictured here, offer couples and wine lovers a calm getaway surrounded by vines.
