Best NYC Cocktails At: The Maritime

Cold summertime cocktails. So hot right now. We’re visiting the best, trendiest hotel bars to find you the tastiest summer cocktails in NYC. Not only have we got the photos, we’ve got the recipes — directly from the bartenders — so you can make them at home. Grab your martini glass and hit the deck, you’re having a cocktail party.

This week we’ve got The Maritime. Previously, we’ve taste-tested The James Hotel, Hilton New York Fashion District, and The Standard Hotel.

DRINK #1: African Queen

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Starr African Rum
  • 1 oz strawberry puree
  • 3 mint leaves torn
  • 2 limes squeezed

To make:
Shake and serve in large rocks glass and garnish with lime and mint.

DRINK #2: Peach Fuzz

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz Russian Standard Vodka
  • 1.5 oz peach syrup
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • Splash of peach vodka
  • Peach chunks

To make:
Shake ingredients together and serve in a highball glass. Garnish with mint and dollop of peach puree.

 

DRINK #3: Caliente Cabana

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz Don Julio Blanco
  • 1 oz Solerno Blood Orange liqueur
  • 1.5 oz Guava Juice

To make:
Mix together and serve in a rocks glass rimmed with cayenne and salt, piece of lime.

 

DRINK #4: Afternoon Cruiser

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz Absolut Sweet Tea
  • 1 oz lemonade
  • Splash of raspberry liqueur

To make:
Shake ingredients together and serve in a highball glass, garnish with lemon.

 

DRINK #5: Orange Femme

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz Ketel One Oranje
  • 0.75 oz St. Germain
  • 1 oz Guava Juice
  • Squeeze fresh lime

To make:
Shake and serve in a rocks glass garnished with a slice of fresh orange.

 

DRINK #6: Wake Me Up Sailor!

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz Baileys
  • 2 oz iced coffee
  • 1 oz Bulleit Bourbon

To make:
Shake well and serve in a highball glass, garnish with cocoa powder ala cappuccino.
