My wife and I went to Costa Rica for our honeymoon in 2008. It was a really beautiful country and we stayed at Tabacón. It was great and the coffee was grand, but one piece of advice if you are going for a relationship getaway – get an all-inclusive one, or set it up in the least stressful way possible. Less stress = more fun. I know, I know, it sounds no-brainerish, but it helps to have a reminder.

We just returned from Costa Rica and were utterly blown away in the discrepancies between the reviews we read on TripAdvisor compared to our actual experiences in several hotels. Oyster seems to be the perfect solution to this online forum that clearly allows fake reviews. We are a professional couple in our mid 40′s who both travel extensively for personal and professional reasons. We highly recommend Cristal Azul for Oyster. Hidden gems such as this are so difficult to find. We also stayed at La Mariposa and while worlds apart, we preferred Cristal Azul a zillions times more than the Mariposa.
Thank you.
